I said I would write about the last few experiences taping over at GH. So many of you reminded me of that, I had to follow up. Thanks for your tweets, instagram comments and comments here on this site. I read them. But more importantly, thanks for watching! Stay tuned... I'll be writing more behind the scenes posts.
As @SoapsInDepthABC pointed out in this tongue and cheek blurb above, it's really fun to chat along with you as we discover who Parker is... I thought coffeeshop scenes with Alexis gave us a tiny window into Parker's past and potential struggles with her own family. It's touching to hear some personal stories from those of you that can relate to Kristina, Parker and Alexis.
I enjoyed working off of Nancy Lee Grahn's Alexis in the coffeeshop scenes. Both characters were forced to show vulnerability and strength. I liked finding the give and take of the scenes. And part of the fun of playing a character like Parker is the unknown. I'm finding out more right along with the audience. Wonder what is next!

Tomorrow on GH, Alexis gets all Mama Bear on Parker! I'm anxious to see how these scenes turned out. I've been a fan of Nancy Lee Grahn for years, so getting to work with her in this realm was a treat. We both had a ton of dialogue! I loved exploring the arc of these scenes with her, running lines and then taping. Plus, it was fun getting real Mom advice from her because, you know, I'm expecting my first! I'll be posting more about the day and how we are attempting to camouflage the "baby bump" after it airs tomorrow. So, stay tuned... and as always, it's fun to hear your thoughts. I know GH fans are super intense, loyal and opinionated; I will brace myself!

Hayden was potty trained seated. How did you potty train your little one? If you did it sitting, did you teach a transition to standing?
I’m using #toddlertarget to get him used to standing up so he can easily do it in public places. Genius idea for so many reasons…a MOTION DETECTOR turns a “target” light on-
for peeing IN the toilet IN the right place, but also, the target light acts as a night light for transitioning out of pull-ups at night. (Great for girls, too!) And I have a feeling it could help more than just toddlers….. wink, wink. toddlertarget.com I’ll also put a swipe up in stories;)

A while ago I talked about @energyupgrade_CA after a day at the beach. I feel compelled to mention it again after another day spent out on an adventure. #TBT to when I was still pregnant with my second child. Yes, you read that correctly. Hayden wore a big brother shirt to tell my parents 🥰, the same shirt Huck wore when he met Hayden for the first time. Seems like a lifetime ago. I talked about my fertility journey with you all, but never shared that I was actually pregnant for a while. I feel a bit naked talking about this on the blog today, BUT it’s just been on my mind a lot this new year. I’m SO HAPPY for people announcing pregnancies and births, but for others it can be a difficult and disappointing reminder of loss. One thing that really helped me was hearing how other people healed and learned how to keep going. At first, it feels like everything stops and the devastation takes over. Talking about it all helps dissipate the feelings of defeat, loneliness or hopelessness. I felt guilty when I was so sad because I was already blessed with Hayden and Huck, so I felt awkward discussing it. I shouldn’t. When @LifeSpringInsurance came to me to open up the conversation about infertility, miscarriage, loss, etc I wanted to participate! It still feels raw and too sad and that is ok. But it helps to talk. 🙏🏻 LifeSpring is changing the conversation around infertility, especially for the youth of today by offering financial insurance for fertility options. I’m thrilled to be a part of that because I wish this had been available for me years ago. This is not a post for me to feel sorry for myself…It is a post educating more people about options out there for us. I didn’t post this when it first came out (and didn’t post the other columns, either), because I didn’t feel like my life reeked “expert.” Not the kind of expert in order to have tips in @parenting magazine. Well, that ends now.
I’m an amazing mom that is forging a better path for my son and making a ton of sacrifices to do it. And I am SO proud to have fun tidbits of info to share I’ve picked up along the way. I’m leaving the small minded me behind in 2019 with the people I allowed to shame me into feeling that way.

I’m trying to take a photo to show y’all how great and sassy my new shapewear pieces from @shapermint are, but this kid keeps popping in the picture! Then I realized, wait—he should be in the photo!! One of the reasons I even wear Shapermint is because of him;) My body changed carrying and growing this precious child. (He loves to touch my tummy and tell me he “grew up” in there. ha!) And I may or may not have indulged a little too much in holiday baking, but no one has to know that. Truly, this shapewear tucks it all up in there- “holding me in.” You know what I mean? I don’t know a better way to say it other than that. We all know there are no shortcuts in life, but this comes pretty darn close when I want a flat tummy.
